The 2024 Academic Pathology Faculty and Administrators Compensation Benchmarking Survey is NOW OPEN!

The study platform is designed to confidentially collect data from participating departments and transform into a member-interrogated reporting system when the data collection period is closed. For participating departments that complete the required questions (to be eligible to access data), the anonymized and aggregated results are sortable by a variety of self-selected metrics. Now entering our third year of data collection, AAPath believes these studies address a critical need for members to have useful comparative regional and national data to assist in recruitment, retention, and discussions with institutional leadership.

Access instructions to the platform were sent to authorized AAPath Chair Members and APEX members on March 25th. If you did not receive this email, please contact the AAPath Office at [email protected].

Privileged access to preliminary results of the 2024 Academic Pathology Faculty and Administrators Compensation Benchmarking Survey will be available shortly after May 31st, so members are encouraged to submit as much data as possible by May 31st.

Background
The 2022 Academic Pathology Faculty and Administrators Compensation Benchmarking Survey was the first of its kind undertaken by the Association for Academic Pathology, designed to confidentially collect data from participating departments and transform into a member-interrogated reporting system.

Rather than reporting data once as a static presentation at the Annual Meeting or other venue, benchmarking data will be available to eligible participating departments throughout the year and anonymized results will be sortable by a variety of self-selected metrics. AAPath expects this new survey platform to provide true added value to members as you seek useful comparative regional and national data to assist in recruitment, retention, and discussions with institutional leadership.

With valuable feedback following the 2022 data collection and release of results, we implemented some modifications to the Faculty Survey, such as "New: Financial Demographics" and simplified questions under "CP Subsurvey: Staffing Statistics". When the results are released, a new cost-of-living adjustment feature can be toggled on and off to compare compensation on a regional basis.
