*CME DISCLOSURES for Speakers/Faculty of APC 2023
APC is pleased to offer enduring CME credit in joint providership with the University of California San Diego, the ACCME accredited organization. We are looking forward to your presentation of the upcoming accredited continuing education (CE) activity, APC 2023 Annual Meeting (pending accreditation approval). To assume a role in this accredited activity, you are expected to partner with us to follow accreditation guidelines and help us create high-quality education that is independent of industry influence. At this time, the APC and UCSD Office of CME (OCME) ask that you disclose all financial relationships you have had with ineligible companies during the past 24 months. To submit your disclosure of financial relationships, please complete that digital disclosure form utilizing the following instructions, https://ucsd.cloud-cme.com/assets/ucsd/pdf/Handout_Completing_and_Updating_Disclosure%20(v.1%2011.30.22).pdf, or expect an email from [email protected].
For instructions on how to create your account and complete or update your disclosure of financial relationships, click here. NOTE: If you already have an existing CloudCME account with UC San Diego CME and submitted a disclosure prior to 2/24/2023, you will need to log into the system and complete a new disclosure that is inclusive of all financial relationships. Disclosure information previously entered in the system is no longer available and valid. Please note that you will only need to update your financial relationships every 24 months or whenever there is a revision needed to your financial relationships (whichever occurs first).
After UCSD OCME receives your disclosure information, CME staff and designated reviewers will review to determine whether your financial relationships are relevant to the content of this activity. If they are, appropriate mitigation strategies will be selected and implemented prior to your participation in the activity. Please note that the existence of relevant financial relationships does not necessarily mean that you are unable to participate in the planning and implementation of this activity, but that all such relationships must be mitigated prior to assuming a role in the activity.
We appreciate your partnership. By identifying and mitigating relevant financial relationships, we will work together to create a protected space to learn, teach, and engage in scientific discourse free from influence from organizations that may have an incentive to insert commercial bias into education. If you have any questions about these expectations or system-related matters, please direct questions to the UC San Diego CME team by emailing [email protected].
