What is ASCP?

The American Society for Clinical Pathology unites more than 100,000 anatomic and clinical pathologists, medical laboratory professionals, residents and students to accelerate the advancement of laboratory medicine to better improve patient care through knowledge, collaboration, and global community. The mission of the ASCP is to provide excellence in education, certification, and advocacy on behalf of patients, pathologists and laboratory professionals. The ASCP is the world’s largest professional membership organization for pathologists and laboratory professionals. With more than 100,000 members, the society’s influence has guided the application and evolution of the pathology and laboratory medicine specialty since 1922.

ASCP Journal - The American Journal of Clinical Pathology

The American Journal of Clinical Pathology (AJCP) is the official journal of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists. It is the leading peer-reviewed pathology and laboratory medicine research journal available.

Its mission is the publication of clinically oriented manuscripts concerning novel laboratory observations on human disease, with particular emphasis on the application of evolving technologies to pathologic diagnosis and patient care.

AJCP is an indexed journal devoted to publishing original and review articles in clinical and anatomic pathology.
