The Association for Academic Pathology is pleased to invite Department Chairs and Administrators to attend the first-ever AAPath Consolidated Regional Meeting on January 17-20, 2025 for a weekend of activities, networking and discussion of timely topics in the beautiful surroundings of Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Terranea Resort is conveniently located near Los Angeles and Long Beach airports.

The meeting will start with a welcome reception for all attendees and guests on Friday, January 17. Breakfasts will be provided for registrants on the mornings of January 18, 19, and 20, followed by break-out sessions for Chairs (by region) and Administrators (together), capped off by reports out to each other in combined plenary sessions. Optional group recreational activities will be planned for Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19. Group check-out is on Monday, January 20.

Registration will open in July 2024 and will be limited to the first 100 registrants. Registration will include an option to submit topics and facilitate discussion in break-out sessions.

Registration Details

The registration fee for this event is $800 and includes the welcome reception (Friday night), breakfasts and breaks (Saturday, Sunday) and one group activity for the registrant only.

Guest Registration Option

The guest registration fee is $250 per guest and includes the welcome reception (Friday night) and one group activity for the registered guest only. All guests must be registered.

Please note that guest registrations that require more than one sleeping room reservation are not guaranteed until confirmed by the hotel. Guest registration refunds will be provided for guests that cannot be accommodated.

 Hotel Reservation

  • The core stay for the AAPath Consolidated Regional Meeting is Friday, January 17th to Monday, January 20th. Additional nights at the group rate are not guranteed. Additional nights will be confirmed by the hotel and communicated to guests through AAPath.

  • A specific view or bedding type is not guaranteed. Attendees may be assigned resort view or ocean view with either (1) king or (2) double beds upon arrival based on resort room inventory availability.

  • The hotel rate of $395 per night, plus $25 resort fee, plus tax and gratuity is NOT included with registration. Attendees are responsible for their hotel costs, including cancellation penalties. A credit card for deposit and payment will be required onsite, when checking into the hotel. Resort Fee details are below. Please note that the Resort Fee has been discounted substantially for this group and cannot be waived or discounted further. The Resort Fee includes:
