Meeting Program

The APC 2020 Live Online Conference will open on July 6th with pre-recorded (and CME-accredited) presentations available for preview ahead of live panel discussions and audience Q&A sessions, programmed on the original week of the face-to-face meeting (July 19 to 22, 2020). As in the face-to-face meeting, the Live Online program will be supported by a meeting app that will help you navigate content, schedule Live Online sessions, and locate and connect with colleagues and exhibitors. Each Section’s program will kick-off with a special COVID-19 Leadership Forum for colleagues to network and “download” on the challenges, creative solutions, and best practices evolving from this disruptive outbreak. To maximize participation in this important session and protect it from potential work-related interruptions, we expect to hold these forums on Sunday, July 19th – what would have been the opening day of the face-to-face meeting. Please try to keep this date open on your calendars.

Speakers, Moderators, and Poster Presenters

Detailed information and requests are currently being communicated to speakers, moderators (sessions and Discussion Groups), and poster presenters. Each Section of the APC is reviewing their current programming. In order to produce an impactful program online, some sessions/topics may be consolidated and/or modified. Note that abstracts will still be published in Academic Pathology this summer.


APC’s 2020 distinguished service awardees will be honored during the APC Live Online Conference, as well as being recognized during the 2021 APC Annual Meeting Awards Lunch in Washington, DC. Additional details will be communicated to each awardee within the next several weeks. The Society of ’67 Board is working on special programming and considerations for the 2020 Society of ’67 Scholars. Scholars will be honored during the APC Live Online Conference and will be notified of additional award benefits by the end of May.

Travel & Hotel Information

As a result of transitioning to the Live Online format, hotel and travel arrangements may need to be adjusted if you have already booked your travel. Please see below for more information regarding hotel and flight cancellations.

Hotel Bookings

If you reserved a hotel room within the APC group block at either the Hotel Del Coronado or the Glorietta Bay Inn, APC will arrange to cancel all room reservations in the group blocks on or about May 15th. You should receive a direct email notification from the hotel confirming this cancellation, along with a refund, if you were charged a one-night room deposit. If you do not want your room to be canceled (e.g., you are taking personal time to enjoy the Coronado beaches), please notify the APC Office at [email protected] by Monday, May 11th.


Participants are responsible for canceling other travel arrangements, including airline reservations. Each carrier has its own policies regarding refunds or vouchers for future travel. Please contact your carrier or travel agent directly to determine your options.
